Titanium metal (5% of the world titanium feedstock demand) is made with concentrate ore, chemically transformed into titanium dioxide, then into titanium tetrachloride and at last into titanium sponges. Sponges are then compacted and vacuum arc remelted into ingots. That is UKTMP trade who is one of the world leaders. The ingots are then transformed into billets or bars. This mission is entrusted to UKAD. At last, some of the semi-products are transformed in finished goods through closed-die forging. That is the work of Aubert & Duval.
